AB GAINA: I have found few omissions in the collections of the LOC. 1. LITERATURE 1. Mihai Eminescu, Caietele. Studies, articles, comments, documents, iconography by Bucur, Marin. Eminescu Eds., B., vol. 2, 252 pp., issued 1974. I have payed 10 lei for this book 2. Barbu, Eugen, Groapa. Roman., Eminescu Eds., 1970-1976, approx. 400 pages (I recollect this title of the book) 3. Iosif, St. Octavian, Poezii. Antology, postface and bibliography by Ion Dodu Balan. Minerva Eds., B., 1976, 328 pp. I would like to mention, that the LOC is the best and a good library in literature. A collection of more than 30 mln volumes mean so much! It is difficult to find omissions. The completions could came another libraries. For example, I have found at The European library the 3-rd volume of "Caietele". But, the music collections are under any critics! 2. MUSIC: It is very strange, that the LOC have no any disks (nor MP3, nor CD) by Maria Bieşu (Bieshu), and 47 disks by Irina Archipova, only one disk by Nicolae Botgros and 10 disks by Liudmila Zykina, no disks by Mihail Muntean and 36 disks by Mark Reizen, no disks by Ana Strezeva, no music by Tamara Aleshina, only 1 disk by Sergey Lunkevich (Melodia, 1973), no music by Gheorghe Eşanu (Eshanu), no music by Aura Urziceanu (Urziceanu, Aura) and 2 disks by Igor Brill, 2 disks by Stefaneţ, A., 1 disk only by Eugen Doga (Doga, E.) and 84 by Tikhon Khrennikov, (Khrennikov, T.), no disks by Ion Aldea-Teodorovici (Teodorovici, Ion-Aldea), nor by Norok (Noroc) or Dolgan, Mihai, nor by Cazacu, Alexandru, no disks by Boris Dubossarskii (Dubossarskii, Boris), no disks by Ioana Radu (Radu, Ioana), Mia Braia (Braia, Mia), Vicoveanca, Sofia Vicoveanca (Vicoveanca, Sofia) and 1420 disks by Dmitry Shostakovich????? I understand why ours radio broadcasts so much music by Aldea-Teodorovici, Holograph and Banica, Jr. ! They are not represented in greatest libraries! Sorry i am late! Best regards, Alex In conclussion: 1. It is evident that the interests of LOC in Russian music is much greater than in Moldovan music. 2. The music collections of LOC are worse than book collections. In other words, the music collections does not represent correctly the real values of musicists and countries, perhaps.
